Lightroom is cropping my images when importing (RAW) Very strange the top link doesn't work from here.but maybe if you search this in google you will find the discussion on the DJI forum: It worked out for the best because I really needed that extra real estate that was missing inside LR. I learned this when I uploaded a RAW file to the web and saw a much wider shot that what I was seeing in LR. This happens when the enable profile correction box is unchecked. There is no way to turn off this feature that I'm aware of. Not sure how many other cameras it affects but figured I would pass it on in case you might have important photos where you think framed too tight or clipped the edge of something but in reality it's all there but was cropped out by LR upon import. After I discovered what was going on I did some searching and found a thread that best explains my situation, but I also learned there are other cameras that are affected by this. I learned about this when I uploaded some dng files from my DJI drone. In a nutshell Lightroom is applying lens profiles upon import and has been cropping a good portion of my images without me having known about it. I'm so glad this happened because I can go back and recapture tons of never seen imagery that Lightroom cropped out. I was completely baffled when I discovered this but after triple checking my files I confirmed I wasn't losing my mind and it was indeed happening. I recently stumbled upon LR cropping my images upon import. Lightroom.is it cropping or modifying your images too?.
